David Yonke's Worry-Free Words

"Sin, Shame & Secrets"

My first book, titled “Sin, Shame & Secrets: The Murder of a Nun, the Conviction of a Priest, and Coverup in the Catholic Church,” developed from my newspaper reporting of the one-of-a-kind case of Father Gerald Robinson.

A Toledo diocesan priest, Father Robinson was arrested in 2004 for the 1980 murder of a nun. He was convicted by a jury in May, 2006, and is now serving a 15-years-to-life sentence at a prison in southern Ohio.

While Fr. Robinson has all of lost his direct appeals, all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, he is now pursuing an amended petition for post-conviction relief.

The book was published in hardcover by Continuum International Press in October, 2006, and in softcover in February, 2008.

The hardcover version sold out long ago, although copies can be found on eBay and some online used-book outlets.

You can order the softcover from Amazon by clicking here.

I am now working on my second book, due for publication in 2015 by History Press.
